These are more technical in nature, involved in troubleshooting systems or servicing:

SYSTEM TYPE: ALL 6000 AND 7000 SYSTEMS

Q: How do I know my 6000 or 7000 weigh sensor is working properly?

A: There are some simple tests you can perform to verify that your scale is functioning properly.

The most important is "Offline Correlation". To perform this test, a known good analytical balance (scale) with resolution equal to or better than the filling system will be required.

  • Place your container on the scale and tare the weight. Perform a fill into or dump into the container, record the reported weight on the fill system screen.
  • Place the filled container back onto the scale and record the weight reading.
  • Compare the 2 values to determine "Offline Error". The amount of expected or allowed offline error is dependent on the equipment type, the range of the weighing device, the system settings and the environment.

This test should be completed on several samples.

For further information on Offline Correlation please contact FillPro Customer Service Department.

Another test would be a calibration test.

Simply perform several calibration processes and record the calibration errors.

The allowable calibration error is dependent on the equipment type, the range of the weighing device, the system settings, the environment and the process tolerance requirements.

For further information on Calibration Error please contact FillPro Customer Service Department.

Rough Repeatability and Return to Zero testing can be performed.

To perform this test,

  • Go into the system Fill Setup screen and view the live weight reading.
  • Tare the live weight value to zero if your system allow this, it not record the weight reading. Also note the amount of movement in the live weight reading.
  • Place a known weight on the scale, this could be a certified calibration weight or some other mass that you know the exact value of.
  • View the live weight reading and determine the difference between known weight and the readings.
  • Remove the weight and verify that the system reading returns to zero or the weight value observed at the beginning of the test.
  • Repeat the sequence several times to make sure nothing is changing.

If the differences between reported and actual are larger than expected, please contact FillPro Customer Service Department.

NOTE:

FillPro Inc recommends and provides an annual calibration and certification on 6000 and 7000 system scales for a flat rate.

Annual verification of the scales operational condition and adjustment of mechanical aspects of the scale as required will help ensure that the system is accurate in the delivery of the filling process.
